Our Story

A journey of compassion, dignity, and transformation since 1983

Our Founder

Community working together

Brother Christ Das (Baba Ji)

Driven by a deep sense of compassion and purpose, Baba Ji founded the organization on December 19, 1983 to provide meaningful employment opportunities for individuals affected by leprosy and their families. His vision was to ensure that these individuals could lead dignified lives, free from the need to beg, by earning a livelihood through honorable means.

"Under his leadership, the organization created avenues for empowerment, especially for women from leprosy-affected families."

Many of these women now work with traditional Charkhas (spinning wheels), producing hand-spun threads that are later woven into a variety of products using handloom techniques.

Our Mission

To provide holistic support for leprosy-affected individuals and their families by ensuring access to quality education, free medical treatment, sustainable agriculture, and meaningful employment opportunities. We strive to create a nurturing environment that fosters dignity, independence, and hope for a better future.

Our Vision

To build a society where every leprosy-affected individual and their family has access to quality education, healthcare, and livelihoods, empowering them to live with dignity and contribute meaningfully to their communities. Our vision is a world free from stigma, where compassion and opportunity lead the way to lasting change.

Message from Our General Secretary

Dear Friends,
Greetings from the Little Flower Leprosy Welfare Association!

It fills me with immense pride and gratitude to witness the transformative work our organization has achieved over the years. At Little Flower, our mission has always been to extend a helping hand to those affected by leprosy and to create opportunities that empower them to lead lives of dignity, health, and self-reliance.

Leprosy is not merely a medical condition; it is a challenge that touches every aspect of life for those affected. The stigma associated with it often pushes individuals and families into isolation, depriving them of basic rights and opportunities.

Our programs—ranging from cattle farming, handloom production, and agriculture to education, healthcare, and monthly welfare support—are designed to provide holistic care and create sustainable livelihoods. These initiatives have not only uplifted individuals but have also brought hope and positivity to entire communities.

Thank you for believing in our vision and being part of our story.
