Driven by a deep sense of compassion and purpose, Baba Ji founded the organization on December 19, 1983 to provide meaningful employment opportunities for individuals affected by leprosy and their families. His vision was to ensure that these individuals could lead dignified lives, free from the need to beg, by earning a livelihood through honorable means.
"Under his leadership, the organization created avenues for empowerment, especially for women from leprosy-affected families."
Many of these women now work with traditional Charkhas (spinning wheels), producing hand-spun threads that are later woven into a variety of products using handloom techniques.
